So, I've got one piece up here, after being a member for multiple months. Honestly, I'm impressed. I never thought I'd ever put anything up on here. But then I did, and my whole life changed forever. Probably not in a good way, since that story is really bad, and everybody on DeviantART thinks I'm a talentless douche (because they've all read it).
Also, WOW! The end of Beethoven's 9th Symphony is EPIC. I'm sad it's over. But I could probably play it again. *plays it again*
>_>
Anyway, as I was saying, I'm a talentless douche. According to the everyone. Including myself. I've actually made a few attempts at some things to put up here, but they were all really bad, so I just ignored them.
Lately I've been having some kind of crazy creative urges though, like over the last month or so. But not in the sense of anything that could be uploaded to DevART. For instance, I've really want to make some music over the last month. I've just been feeling weirdly inspired. The problem is however, I lack any kind of musical talent. I can't play any instruments and I don't know anything about composing at all. This, obviously, doesn't help the urges. I have no outlet for all this musical inspiration, so it's just kind of building up inside of me. It doesn't really make any sense.
Another thing I've been really wanting to do lately is film something. We haven't filmed anything in Media (as in real filming, not stop-motion) since last year, and I don't own a camera (but hopefully that'll change soon). I just want to go out and make some kind of short film or music video or something, but I have no way of doing it.
I'm almost certain this sudden film making inspiration is all because I recently saw 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time. What a film. Honestly, I have never seen anything more mind-blowing or more perfectly crafted in my entire life. The film was made in the 60's, and it barely feels dated at all. I was even still amazed by some of the effects. Effects from a film that was made 40 years ago. Tell me that's not astonishing. Kubrick is a genius film maker, and 2001 can only be described as a work of art. It's poetry put on film. There is so much content in the film, so much subtext, so many themes and messages that it's completely astounding. I can't praise the film enough.
Anyway, I suppose that's enough rambling for now. Oh, also, every single person who has ever been on the internet has to watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog when it's released from June 15-20. It's a musical webseries, written and directed by Joss Whedon, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion, how could it possibly be anything short of amazing.
So yeah, that's everything that's going on with me, and then some. Or at least, everything I'm willing to talk about openly. Until next time, have a great day or something. I'm not really sure how to properly end this.
-Steamvent.
tl;dr: I'm a talentless douche who is in love with Stanley Kubrick and Joss Whedon.
P.S. My mood is suggestive, because the menu thing with all the different moods won't load, so I can't change it.
